What is the best tomato? With over 180 varieties to choose from, this is a question we are often asked. There is no single best tomato - there are many! How you would like to use them? Do you want different colors for festive salads? Maybe Cherry tomatoes for the kids? Beefsteaks for slicing? Or paste tomatoes for canning and sauces? We have them all. Heirloom tomatoes are older varieties and are known for their delicious flavor.
Not really black, but instead a deep purplish brown, with a sweet, rich flavor.
